This guitar is for beginners but it needs some modification cause the strings are to high attached and makes playing difficult. Its very cheap hand crafted. For a little more money you can have a better guitar. Don't buy this guitar.

I purchased this guitar for my daughter for Christmas. I went to tune it up for her a few days before to have it ready under the tree Christmas morning. I tried for an hour to tune the first 3 strings (I have been playing guitar for almost 40 years now). It would not hold a tune. I took it over to a friend who teaches guitar and he got frustrated as well. The fret lines were not uniform down the neck - one was very obviously crooked, some of the frets were off the guitar neck on one side, the white piece of "ivory" at the top of the neck had about a 1/4 inch of wood visible that should have been underneath it, then the piece, and it too was off the side of the neck, you could see looking at it that it did not look well made, the tuners looked cheap, and there was a silicone pack in the body of the guitar which would dry it out. I ended up having to buy another guitar locally so she had something under the tree, and sent this guitar back for a refund. I put a note in the box telling them they could not sell that guitar to anyone. If you decide to purchase this, I hope you have better luck. I gave it one star because it looked like a guitar.

This guitar is everything I expected for the price. At 92 dollars to my door, I was expecting a cheap acoustic guitar that would feel more like my electric guitars, and thats what I got.

First the guitar is everything it claims to be, its functional without defects in useablity, however, the manufacturer appears to have skimped on workmanship as it doesn't look carefully made or painted, but this does not affect playability.

When playing I had to adjust to the feel of the neck, I'm accustomed to the smooth necks on fender strats and p-basses, this one has a little more friction but it was easily overcome. When playing notes it requires a little more pressure and accuracy than most electrics to avoid buzzing, but that is again something pretty easy to get used to.

The electronics operate just fine, nothing to wow me, but effective and clean. It could really use a switch to save battery life though.

Overall this is a good guitar for someone that is learning or wants an acoustic electric as long as they're expecting low cost and mediocre quality.
