Good Songs, Poor Live Recording

If you like Pete Seeger, you'll like this CD, no matter what I say, and I like it too. The song selection is excellent, but the CD is a live concert at some nameless place at an unknown time, but probably in the early sixties, as Joan Baez and Peter, Paul & Mary join him on the last track. The recording is in stereo, albeit a fairly poor mix, with some instruments too loud in some songs, and non-existent in others.
For the price, Vanguard should have included the basic liner notes telling the listener where and when the concert was. |
