First I opened the guiatr and you guess what, it was made in China !!!!! Before even tuning I was quite sure that it would not be a nice guitar..... Then I unpacked the tuner, CD etc and found out the tuner is absolutely crap...... So I decided to not to use that..... Then I tuned the guitar and started playing it..... The gap between the string and the fret board is much more than any nice guitar... even I have a very cheap one, 'Made in India' and that is better than this one.... (for obvious reason, that's not made in China)..... The sound quality is good in this Fender guitar..... The workmanship is also OK..... overall considering the price it is a 'ok' sort of deal..... but you need some sort of protection for your finger, because the strings are relly hard.....
Good starter package

The Guitar pack was pretty much as i expected. Nice instrument; cheap gig bag. The instructional DVD I must say is disappointing. As a beginner, it didn't really hit the basics and was not much use. Good value on the instrument itself though.

This is a gorgeous guitar, more than what I expected it to be for the price. I don't know what to do with it yet, but hopefully I'll be making some nice sounds with it soon.
Good if you've never picked up a guitar before

I don't regret buying this guitar. I don't have a lot of time on my hands or money in my pockets so I was looking for something like this product. It has an OK sound. It's big for me but I'm a small person so that's just me. The gig bag is pretty bad. The guitar barely fits in it with a lot of shoving and it looks like it's probably going to break. I'm not sure about this part but it seems like the neck is bending back. It's cheap material so this isn't a surprise. But as I learn chords and read tabs and get used to it, I'm happy with it. It stays tuned for a decent amount of time. The DVD isn't that helpful. I threw it out. There are sites online that are very helpful. One of the strings broke already but changing it was no big deal. They probably could've given directions on how to tune with the electronic tuner, change the strings. etc. Overall, it's good for learning and I think it was a good purchase and just remember you can always upgrade as soon as you've learned the basics.
I like it

Keeping in mind that this guitar is meant to be an inexpensive guitar, you really can't go wrong.
It really does sound very good, and is way better than I thought it would be. No, it's not a Taylor, but it's not a toy, either.
The neck on this one feels perfect out of the box, w/no adjustments, but I haven't put my favorite strings (.013 Elixir Polywebs) on it yet.
You definitely get what you pay for. (Gig bag is pretty cheep, though, and I haven't tried the tuner) |
